Kitten sighed contentedly, standing in the forest. The thick undergrowth tapped against his blue jeans, swaying in the damp breeze that swept through the forest.
He didn't know why he loved the forest, maybe it was all the green, the green grass, the green leaves, the green moss on the trees, the green vines, just green everywhere. Or maybe it was the splotched light on the ground, barely having made it through the canopy above where the birds chirped merry little tunes. Kitten just loved to stand in the forest, breathing in the fresh air. Not that air in Serenity wasn't fresh anyhow.
Chuckling lightly at the thought of the small, back-water town, Kitten leaned his head back, closing his eyes and allowing the dapples of sunlight he had been standing in to shine on his face. The hoodie he was wearing rippled as a particuarly strong breeze flittered by, a few strands of his wild silver hair blew tickled his forhead and nose.
"A-aCHOO!" The teenager sneezed, snapping forward to cover his face with his elbow.

Crow also was roaming the forest. The green certainly made his green and black, super-pointy dreadlocks stand out. Not to mention bloody eyes. How did he look so weird and be a human? Pfft. Who cared? He was here looking for roses. Crow was hungry.
Up ahead, he spotted a nekoshi. Crow raised an eyebrow. It'd been a while since he saw one of them. He had always liked cats. Perhaps this nekoshi would be interesting...
The nekoshi sneezed. Crow moved closer.
Maybe the nekoshi had roses.

"6:30 kid." Mako suddenly snapped. Kitten blinked, lowering his arm. So much for a peaceful afternoon...
But I left around noon Mako! It can't be that late already..! There was no way he was going to be late to get home again...Kitten shuddered at the thought, his step dad was the image of terror for tardiness...
"Baka! There's someone behind you! His-...Fcuk this. Just turn around..."
Following Mako's exasperated directions, Kitten turned to look. There in fact, was someone there, with outstandingly spikey orange and black hair, and apathetic blood red eyes. Kitten shuddered, noticing the red eyes staring straight at him. "If you're looking for something I don't think I'm going to be of much help to you."
"...Why do I smell roses?"

"Oh, okay," Crow replied, shrugging. "I was hunting for roses and don't cats like flowers? Or something?"
The nekojin was cute. Crow thought that he looked effeminate, but that really wasn't too uncommon. Especially for nekojin.
"I won't hurt you. Unless you bug me, then you'll wind up squashed."

How'd he know I was part cat?? Kitten nearly panicked, his legs tensed, ready to spring away, even if he did say he wouldn't hurt him.
"Baka, there's something special about him...There HAS to be, I mean, he's hunting for roses, he has to be a freak of nature....Like you." Mako snapped.
"Yeah, cats do like flowers," Kitten shrugged, blinking a bit. It'd been a while since someone known he was a neko, felt sorta nice. "I do like roses I just...kind of forgot where the little grove of them were." Kitten chuckled sheepishly, "Just because I have a good sense of smell doesn't mean that I can sniff out a patch of roses in this place, there's too many plants for me to determine what's what most of the time."
His sense of smell was hindered when he was in his human form, and could only use all of his senses to their full potential when he totally morphed into a cat...which he didn't know how to do yet.

"Makes sense," Crow shrugged. "I used to hang around nekojin a fair bit."
It was true. They were very interesting people. Very cute, too. Crow had taken a liking to pulling on their ears. Not that he'd do that to a stranger. Who knew where those ears had been?

Kitten shrugged, he truthfully didn't know that there were that many other nekos out there. That comforted him a bit, knowing that he wasn't alone in the world. "Mind stopping your angst track? It's getting cloudy." Kitten pouted cutely and crossed his arms.
Curiously, the boy sniffed the air, he couldn't smell any roses as Mako had earily accused. He must be losing it...

((Sorry, I was lazy for ages T_T))
The nekojin was looking very blank. Crow stood still, watching him. He didn't blink - Crow didn't believe in blinking. It meant CLOSING your EYES in front of other people. Not a smart idea. He'd seen people killed in the blink of an eye. Or, rather, he hadn't. When you're blinking, you can't really see someone die. But he did know they were alive one second and then dead after he blinked.

((Pft Who isn't lazy? ^^ I can't get on very much anyway -cries in her emo corner- yesh, i'm EMO, FEAR IT!! -cackles- Ahem, sorry, had some kool-aid earlier )) Kitten scratched one of his ears, even if they were invisible they were still there...And god be damned why did they have to itch so much? (And why did it make him purr everytime he scratched them? It's kind of hard to act normal and purr, thank you.) "Why're you looking for roses anyway?" The teen asked, his auburn eyes disappeared as he clamped his eyes shut, trying to hinder the purr that was building in his chest. Even if the person knew, he still had to keep the weird-ness to a minimal. As he was concentrating on keeping silent, Kitten didn't notice the blank stare the bloody-eyed boy had locked onto him. Or how much it should be creeping him out.
