It was a sad, sad day in the White household. Micheal had decided, after a month of so and still no friends, that his new son needed a vacation. But Twilight...
"Dad! Please, no!" Kitten shouted, trying to chase after his father, but one of the butlers held him back. The sleek black suit, that he could deal with, but that cool, apathetic face the butler wore angered Kitten to no end. "Father I love her!"
"Then how come I haven't met her?!" The black haired man roared back, spinning around on his heel to stare accusingly at his son. "If you're so in love with this girl that you keep ranting about, how come she hasn't been here? You know she'd be welcome in this household!" The man's gray eyes narrowed at the restrained Kitten, sorrow shined in the graying man's stormy eyes.
Kitten stopped struggling, staring down at his sneakers, "I met her last night, her name's Twilight. She's a head shorter than me and has long silver hair, about to her waist, and beautiful ruby eyes." The butler backed away, seeing he wasn't needed anymore. Kitten looked up, his golden eyes glassy with unshed tears, "I promised her I'd stay with her, dad! I can't leave! I don't break promises!!" The boy cried, the tears slowly fading back, he didn't cry. That was another promise to himself, no matter how much it hurt he'd never cry.
The only times he'd ever cried was when he was a baby, and when he was alone in his first home, the one that one might actually call a home, where he was frightened for his life. And nights when I was alone in... Kitten shuddered, he didn't have a name for the place yet, and he didn't think he really needed one. He would be clarifying that that place is real, and still out there, somewhere.
Micheal's eyes were now shining, and glassy, as he stared at his son. "You'll be back, Dev. It's only a month, you're girlfriend will understand..." He wanted to say something comforting, anything that might make his son release his tears. Why does he insist on bottling it all up...? It hurt the gray eyed man to know that his son was in pain, and that he couldn't help him. I'm here for him...Why won't he let me in? "You'll be able to call back here, heck, I even got you a cell phone for this trip, so if you make friends, you can keep them." The man gave a sheepish smile and pulled a Blackberry Curve cell phone out of his pocket.
Kitten gave a resigned sigh, he didn't know Twilight's number...But he smiled at his dad, a small, serene smile. "Thanks dad...What's the number?" He asked, and jotted down the numbers as his father said him. "I guess a vacation couldn't hurt...Thanks again old man," Kitten teased, grinning. And so, the White's went on a month vacation to somewhere warm, because Kitten said he didn't want to be anywhere cold (it'd remind him of Twilight and then he'd feel guilty for leaving), and they left. Leaving the huge White Mansion empty, but locked.
But if you look closely at the huge white house's doors, you'll see a scrap of paper with a hastily written note on it. I'm sorry. But you know last night? I loved it. I love you, I'm sure of it. And don't frown, I'll be back. Call me~ a phone number followed, and a small, carefully drawn paw dotted the edge of the paper, and it was rimmed with glimmering red gel pen, and filled with god, though through the middle of it, there seemed to be a few creases, as if someone had kissed it.
((And I hope that covers Kit's absence...I put the phone in there because I just might be able to see you guys periodically throughout the month, but only in small amounts of time. ^^; Plus, I didn't want to break Kit and Twi-chan up They just started their cute little relationship!! And lovey dovey phone conversations are adorable I may have some ficcies about his trip when I get back! ^_^ Loneliness and boredem pushes people to do cool things
