"Nothing could hurt me worse then losing you...." The worlds echoed softly through the eternally young girls thoughts, red irises covered by thin, almost translucent eye lids. "Nothing.... It didn't seem right, the whiskey eyed boys words, and yet.... It felt so nice... The thought that he might've loved her that much.... She curled up slightly, unconciously inching closer to the silvery haired boys sleeping form, careful not to wake him. She had gone to sleep at first, but it hadn't lasted very long. It never did. She wasn't much of a sleeper these days.... To many things plagued her unconcious mind to let her ever rest easy, even when she was in the presence of her own personal sun.
Her eyes fluttered open briefly so that she could peer out one of the many windows in the room; The sun was up, shining through the windows and down onto the floor. She was pretty sure it wouldn't reach her where she was. Blood colored eyes closed once more, a single tear rolling down her cheek. She hadn't regained the sunlight last night. Never again would she feel the heat of sun against her forever cold skin, or fall asleep in a field at noon. But she'd gained something even more precious, she knew. Her own, personal sun, one that could die just as easily, but provide warmth she'd never before felt.
"Nothing could hurt me more then losing you, Kitten...." She wasn't ready to give up the sun again.
((I hope this wasn't to bad for starting up the next thread.... @-@ I couldn't think of a better ending for the last one then what you had posted, to be honest. ^^))

(Oh yes! Mako the magician! -poses-)
The form beside Twilight dispersed, the small shred of soul that had been embedded in the magic returned to the owner down stairs in the kitchen. Mako scowled as the fragments of childhood memories (the most peaceful ones, magic was very picky about the soul-pieces it used when doing certain things) flooded back into him. Hopefully Twilight wasn't awake to witness her love disappear, or he'd have her down here bugging him.
Sighing he snorted the cigarette smoke from his nose and poured himself a mug of the strong, black coffee he had made. The small wisps of smoke drifted out an open window, the sun burning Mako's impassive red eyes. Sighing again, he began to hum, flipping over a pancake he had cooking on a pan, and sliding over on his socks to the pan next to it, beginning to scramble the eggs.
Taking another breath of the cigarette, he sang under his breath, glancing over to his waffles to make sure they weren't burning, "...Alone, don't remember, remember. Put me to sleep evil again, open your wings evil angel...Ooh." Continuing to hum he dropped the spatula in the pan and opened the sleek black fridge, shuffling through the shelves to find something. Because despite how he looked, Mako was a very excellent cook, and he just loved guilting his counterpart into eating when he was forced back into the realms of his mind.

(( Make Mako put on a magic show for us! XD)) Blood colored eyes watched in silence as the boy next to her dissapeared, a small, white flash shooting through the air as it left the room. At first, the small girl was confused, but recolection soon dawned on her, and she let out a soft sigh, pushing herself up into a sitting position. The thin sheet that had been covering her slim form slipped downwards, landing in a crumpled heap on her lap. A very faint blush tinted the girls cheeks as she quickly pulled the thin sheet back up, rolling over and moving her hand around on the ground besides the bed in an attempt at finding the white dress that she'd originally entered the house with. Running a few fingers through her hair in an attempt at tidying it, the silvery haired girl slipped out of the bed room, once more clothed; Her dress was a bit wrinkled, the white fabric stained with a drop or two of blood that had fallen onto it the night before when she been nipping at her whiskey eyed loves neck. She yawned inaudibly, lifting a hand up to cover her mouth, and blinked, only now realizing that her hand was shaking ever so slightly. She frowned, shaking her head a bit before heading off down the hallway, careful to avoid the windows along the way; She could smell food cooking, and if someone was cooking, it must've been Kit. Or, atleast... She really hoped it was him. ((So not my best post, but oh well... xD;))

Soft footsteps reached Mako’s oversensitive ears from down the hall, scowling the white haired boy straightened, clothed in nothing but the leather pants Kitten had been wearing earlier that morning. Mako would’ve called out to Twilight, but anything he could say would sound girly and motherly, and those were two things he was not, and would kill anyone who called him that.
Tapping the ashes from his ‘cancer-stick’, as Kira (obsessor of Kitten) called them, he rolled the sausages he had cooking off onto a plate, making sure to keep the grease so he could add it to the eggs (plain eggs never taste good unless you add a little meat to ‘em). “I’m a believer, nothing could be worse, all these imaginary friends. Hiding betrayal, driving the nail, hoping to find a savior…” He began humming again, trying to ignore his impending doom. Even if Twilight was nice, and called him Toku (extra points in his book), he still preferred being alone to being with anybody, and knowing that girl, she’d never leave…
(Yeah!! –pokes Mako, has him chained to a barney DVD- Do magic!! -scowls and makes the DVD disappear, along with the chains- Yay!! –bounces up and down-)

"Ano, Kit...." The silvery haired girl said quietly, stepping into the kitchen and glancing around; just like the rest of the house, it seemed like a place she didn't belong in, like a drop of blood in the middle of snow. She raised an eyebrow, giving the boy a closer inspection, and blinked, realizing with a bit of surprise that it wasn't Kitten at all; it was the boys supposed 'protector', Toku. "Ah.... Guten morgen, Toku....." A slight German accent slipped into her voice as she said the worlds, and inwardly, she scowled, having been to used to saying that to her neesama in the morning; Other then the few Germanic words that slipped out on occasion, she'd completely annihilated her German accent. Making a slight gesture towards the provider of nicotene, she smiled sheepishly, careful not to leave her hand visible long enough for it's slight shaking to become discernable to the eye. "Would you happen to have another one of those...? I'll pay you back later...." She tilted her head to the side a bit, smile still in place; it was a bit eerie, how similar Kitten and Toku looked.... The only real distuingishing factor where the eyes... "I could use a bit of nicotene right now..." (( MAGICCC!!!! -cackles, hugging Mako- >_> Ack, crappy reply. DX Sorry.))

Mako scowled, having to conciously work to make sure his shoulders didn't tense. Twilight had entered the room, and was standing in the door way, staring at him. He didn't like that gaze, he didn't like eyes, that gaze and those eyes were for Kitten, not for him. Mako sneered down at the floor, taking another puff of his cigarette. Those eyes were taking his life away from him...His eyes narrowed, "Ja, sicher, guten Morgen..." He airily replied, turning on his heel and moving the eggs around on the pan, sliding them off onto the pan with the sausages. He didn't notice her German accinct. Nimbly he slid over to the pancakes and waffles, putting them on seperate plates and staring at the frood products fondly. He didn't know how he'd learned how to cook, but it was the one thing he had seperate from Kitten. He just had to have something of his own, to remind him that they weren't one... "Uh, yeah, sure. They're on the table." If Mako were a normal human being, he would've stuttered after being broken out of such a daze, but he wasn't, and he didn't. He waved dismissively to the table and shook his head, trying to dismiss the thoughts that were clouding his mind like cigerette smoke. Ash from his forgotten cigerette crumbled off, twirling toward his socked feet. Giving an inaudiobly sighing Mako gathered both plates at leaned against the counter, leaving the plates near the stove which was still slightly on to keep the plates warm. Dangerous, but Mako was that kind of dumb ass. The ruby eyed boy pulled a strand of snow white hair that fell in his face, peering at his closely. His hair was another difference he had from Kitten, and his eyes...Kitten had always loved his eyes when he was young...Mako unconciously winced, only thoughts of the past having enough power to make him show it physically. He swept the strand of hair away. ( -shoves Sunset off, pulling out his pistol- Touch me again you'll die, bitch. ^^; Thinking of Kit makes him sa~d. Cuz he can't have him XDD -stiffens- I don't get sad dumbass...-totally doesn't say anything about the other part XD- Aw, but you love me cuz that little ficcy! (I wrote a little romance on Kit/Mako one day -grins impishly-) -glares sullenly- Tis not crappy!! I liked it ^^ Oh, and sorry for putting some German I had too, Mako's just that cool X3)

Twilight was, to say the least, a bit surprised to hear the white haired boy speak her native language, one she hadn't heard in what seemed like an eternity... She blinked, tilted her head to the side, paused, shrugged, and stepped over to the table, grabbing the pack of cigarettes and pulling one out. Holding it between two fingers for a moment she examined it, blinking when she realized that it seemed to be one of the more expensive brands; there was no way in hell she could ever afford something like this with her salary... She placed the cigarette between her pale lips, rummaging around in her pocket for a lighter. "Toku...." Leaning against the table she looked up at Toku and smiled slightly, now-lit cigarette held between her thin lips. Turning, she leaned against the table, watching the white haired boy with slight curiosity. "It's nice to see you again, so don't think I'm complaining, but...." She paused, trying to think of the proper was yo say what she wanted without screwing it up somehow. "...I thought you only managed to get free when something happened..... Did it...?" Somewhere in the back of her mind, she wondered if he could remember what had occured last night, or if he'd maybe been watching somehow.... Her cheeks flushed a faint pink color, and her gaze shifted downward; Had he seen the scars once she'd been asleep and her illusions dropped?..... Had Kit? She couldn't deal with those questions, probably never would.... ((-giggles- Aww, how cute he's made at me! XD Ooooo ficcy?? I wanna read it. :3 Oh oh, and I have a new story up on meh myspace thing if you wanna read it later. 83 Yay for German!))

Mako ripped himself from his thoughts, locking them away like only he could. “Did something happen? Of course.” He blandly replied, raising an eyebrow at Twilight, “That’s why he was at the bar last night, he couldn’t sleep because he’d have nightmares. You being there doesn’t change very much, Twilight, just makes him happy while he’s conscious.” He took another drag of his cigarette, “Though he’ll regret his choice every time he falls asleep with you in his arms…” The white haired boy mused, thumbing his lip, looking as thoughtful as thoughtful as his impassive face would allow.
Mako wasn’t exactly lying, mind you all. With Twilight Kitten’s mind defenses weakened, so the memories could easily break free and torture the poor boy, the ones that had been locked up in the depths of his mind allowed to come and play now. But he was sure Kitten never regretted it, having someone to be with was just…something to help him forget everything, until he closed his eyes once more. Mako was just adding icing to the cake; maybe he could get her to leave now, before she did even more damage to his hikari.
((-snickles- I know, he’s so adorable. I wish they were both mine –looks at Mako- -stiffens under the gaze, glares back- I know that look, try and take Kitten away again and I’ll break loose and kill you. She read the story, she’s trying to find the kids grave. –rolls his eyes at Emma, whos running through random graveyards, unburying everyone- Yay ficcies! –glomps you- I wuvved it. Er…-looks at Mako- -points his pistol at Emma now- Show her the oneshot and die, bitch. ^^; -puts her hands up- Yay for German…-coughcough-Nazi-coughcough, get’s shot- Ow!))

The smaller of the two shut her eyes, brow creasing slightly as she gave a slight nod of understanding. She inhaled deeply from the cancer stick betwen her lips, holding the nicotene enriched smoke in her lungs for a moment, before gently blowing the smoke into the air, eyes opening slightly to watch as the smoke curled up into the air and dispersed. "....I'm sorry. I didn't know, Toku." Lifteing a hand up, she moved the cigarette from her lips and smiled faintly, head tilted to the side; Of course, the smile was totally fake, but it was probably impossible to tell. She'd perfected these kinds of things, had to in order to get through daily life. "I'm sorry to have caused you... Both of you.... Such trouble."
Rummaging around in her pocket briefly, she pulled out a rather wrinkled-looking five-dollar-bill, setting it on the table next to the pack of cigarettes; There was a phone number and adress written in an untidy scrawl on the bottom of it. It should've been enough to pay for another pack, repayment for the single cigarette she'd taken. "...Neesama is probably expecting me, so... I should probably go now anyway..."
((D: I wanna read itttt!!! -sniffles, kicking Mako's knee- Nazi bastard! D8< (XD) ))

None of Mako's mind felt remorse for telling Twilight the lie, and no part of him bothered to indicate that he could read that fake smile. He didn't care, she was trouble to him, she was there to steal his Kitten. He needs someone. He can't have you, you are him. A small voice in his head said, maybe there was a part that remorsed lying. But Mako blocked the voice out, he wasn't Kitten. No, he was his own person. But he needed the boy, he needed him heart and soul and this dman btich wasn't going to take him away. She calls you Toku, she likes you and she's willing to convince Kitten you're not a nuisance. The red eyed boy had to give that dman voice some credit, it was right about that. He pushed the money away, looking impassive but feeling appologetic. "Give it to him yourself, even if he regretted meeting you, it was only because of the nightmares. The kid loves you, so you're nee-sama can wait till gets up, right?" Mako's icey heart broke as he spoke the words, in his mind denying that the kid in fact loved Twilight, not him, but the shreads of his heart accepting it. He cracked a smile at the girl, his red eyes dry but a small crack in the cold defences built around him screamed of the pain he was in. 'The only trouble here is me...'(( -shrugs, staring at the floor, takes a swig of a bottle of vodka- Call me what you like, fag. -blinks at Mako- I'm proud of this post, my heart was really going out to Toku-chan when I wrote the last "]"... -glares, red eyes glazed with alcohol- I don't need your dman pity. (-whispers- I'll sneak it when Mako's gone ) It's not pity...It's joy from the pain I've caused you I hope you enjoy your sweet victory -eyes dull and get glassy, averts eyes back to the floor- Ouch, I didn't lay it on that thick, did I? -cocks her head, looking midly curious- ))

...Something was off. Something was horribly off, and even though she'd only met Mako once before, she knew it: The aura that could kill you alone, the way he spoke, even the way he moved; all of it was way off. And the smile only confirmed her suspicions. However, she continued to smile, the complete and utter fakeness tinged with a hint of kindness that was difficult to show at times, and possibly... Sadness? "Nee-sama is a lot like you, Toku.... But she's much more selfish then you are." She paused, giving her head a light shake as her gaze trailed downward. "...I know you don't like me, Toku. I can see it in the way you look at me, whether you realize it or not; You give me the same look that Nee-sama gives people that..." She trailed off, flinching at a particularly nasty memory; a drunk man, in his late twenties, had tried to pick her up one night on the way home from a bar with her Nee-sama. He'd been practicly ripped to shreads after about five minutes of meeting him. She was a good actress, that was for sure; the second she got back home, she'd probably break down crying, probably never go back to that bar again. But until then, she'd bear it, locking it away as tightly and for as long as she possibly could. "You don't like me, I know that much. Me being around Kitten would...." She trailed off. "....The sun can't survive in my world, won't survive. Kitten is the sun. He won't last." Her smile turned sardonic, an odd twist tugging at the corners. "I'm sure you must know that much; how doomed he'd be if he stayed with me." She didn't want to give up the sun. It would kill her inside, to have to lose that warmth again, that thing that made her feel human.... But she'd rather lose the sun then let it die. Let Kitten die. ((XD Oh dear, Mako-kun is drunk.... ..... Uh-oh's, I think he's depressed Em. >_>..... HE NEEDS HUGS!! XDD >_> <_< Sorry if this post was to insightful or angsty on Twilight's part, but I couldn't think of much else to have her say... ^^;; Gomen. She really does like Toku, though. xD Probably 'cause he's like a nicer version of Sin-kun.))

Mako took another breath of the ever addicting nicotine, far above the addiction of petty humans, merely enjoying the sting of it as he blew it out his nose. He straightened, his ruby eyes hardening again, his mouth opened, his pearly white fangs glinting in the light, but he found he had no words to say. He couldn't ask the questions he wanted to ask, like. 'More selfish? How could anyone me more selfish than me? I, who tries to fend off my counterparts loves so I can have him all to myself? How can anyone be more selfish than that?' But he didn't bother denying that he didn't like her. He, frankly, didn't.
The white haired neko grinned sadastically at the statement, "Kitten's the sun, eh? Oh, he'd love to hear that." He chuckled, "He's doomed with any path he takes, kid. It's all just a matter of what's along the path that leads him." Kitten stirred in the darker region of his mind, slowly waking up, comfortable in the world Mako normally inhabitted. Such a fake, papery world, it made Mako sick. He scowled, his time was shortening with everything breath he took and every thought that zipped through his cerebrum.
((-grins and glomps Mako- Tis fine, me no mind! -shoves Emma off with his bottle, spilling a bit on her, scowls- Leave me alone. -shrugs- I made Mako totally in love with Kitten, even though love does make you selfish, it normally also makes you think about the persons well-being. Hence Mako's sorta kind-heartedness. ^_^ Yay logic!!))

"What makes you think that I want to be the reason for his doom...?" The question was barely audible, even in the silence of the large kitchen; The birds chirped happily outside, and that in itself nearly blocked it out. It was selfish of her, really; To think that maybe if she could stay away from him, that Toku's whiskey eyed counterpart might survive, might lead a much happier life then if he was with her. Though, these thoughts only came to mind after the initial statement. She just didn't want to be responsible for causing something horrible to happen, to either Toku or Kitten. And, for that, she was selfish. Unbelievably so.
"....Personally, I like you, Toku. And it's painfully obvious that you don't like me." She paused, hesitating for a moment before shaking her head. "....You could protect him. And you know it, to. It's why your Toku." A gentle smile spread across the small girls lips, and for some strange reason, she seemed unusually frail at the moment; like reaching out and touching her would cause her to crumble like a castle created by the hands of a child in the sand.
((XD Your logic is entertaining Em.))

“You’re still here, aren’t you?” Light gray smoke curled from Mako’s pale nostril, his blood red eyes stared emptily at the silver haired girl before him. He stood stonily, listening silently to the gentle, sleepy murmuring of the awaking Kitten, his face hardening at the merry birdsong. “You want to be here, you know, I know, and Kitten wants you here, whether you like it or not.” The cold teen flicked the ashes from the end of his cigarette, and then stubbed it out against his wrist. He didn’t even flinch. “If you don’t want to stay, then you made mistake last night when you came here, you’ve already opened Kitten back up, if leave him wide open like this and hurt him, I’m going to hunt you down and kill you.” The wound was gone in a matter of seconds.
The white haired boy took a nonchalant sip of his coffee, “It’s painfully obvious I don’t like anyone, kid. And no, no I can’t. I’m a shield; he doesn’t need a shield anymore. He needs something to help him cope and deal with what’s happened, shielding him from the darkness can only protect him for so long, and after that it only hurts him.” A warm breeze drifted in from the window, ruffling Mako’s hair. ”…Mako…?” “He doesn’t need me anymore, he needs you.” Yeah, I’m here kid. I’m here.
(I try and make it so :3 Posty for you!! -glomp- I hope it makes up for not posting for a long time -grins sheepishly-)
